These books are amazing for introducing social and economic concepts in an easy to understand and aesthetically attractive way - not just for kids, but adults, too. They also have brought to the forefront historical events that I never knew about, but which have drastically changed the way we live and even how we view such things as money and the duty of government. I love the suggestions for further, more advanced reading on most subjects, as well. The kids are learning, and thinking, and I am learning, too. I highly recommend these as to start discussions in your family about some of the most important things in society.
