To have a great movie you need a solid story line, a very good setting, and a believable cast.
The story line is first rate.
The setting leaves a bit to be desired. The estate on the cliff did not work for me.
The casting was not the best. The lead star is not sympathetic and did not sell the part. The casting of the cop and his daughter felt like forced diversification. They did a great job, just never understood what their relationship with the lead actress was.
Another movie where the women and the minorities are the good guys and the white men are bad guys. Kind of getting tired of this type or portrayals. Is way too politically obvious.
Suggestion. Not for sure if you are trying to turn off white men and their girlfriends and spouses, or if you are trying to attract minorities and liberal women. Either way, you will lose 50% of your possible audience which means big bucks.
