This is such an amazing book. It fully captures what life was like in Soviet Georgia from the First World War till the fall of Communism. And the detail! Ms Haratischvili has written this story of her own family for us to cherish. A fitting tribute to Georgia, and even though I've never been to the country, I feel like I have a strange connexion to it.
It's such an amazing book. I was hooked for all 1200 pages.
