I enjoyed the Documentary (although told from the Defence position)
Well, i thought Petersen was so self involved! I couldn’t bear him. I also thought his lawyer behaved strangely at times. Perhaps some of this was because they knew they were being filmed but it felt frivolous & flat.
Not liking either of them aside, here is what i kept coming back to: I thought too many smoke & mirrors & not enough facts. I thought the time line of the night Kathleen died wasn’t clear. What time did she leave the pool area to go to bed? He stayed out at the pool for how long? It’s almost 3 a.m. when he makes first 911 call. Why did he hang up? The date was early Dec in South Carolina ( i think). What were the temperatures that he was wearing shorts & they sat outside at the pool drinking & talking? That looked like a ton of blood for someone who had *merely* fallen downstairs/slipped in blood & wacked her head again & as everybody noted IT WAS ALREADY DRY. Hello?
**Wish there had been a proper investigation into OWL Theory as that certainly sounds plausible. Would explain wounds. Would that account for blood loss?
I do think it strange there was no skull # & no damage to brain. Although they had been drinking that night, she also took a Valium. Not that that doesn’t happen, but it rankled.
YES, totally bizarre that family was ok with leaving the blood there for months. YES, Margaret looked exactly like him. I don’t know.. is that love? Kids struck me as oddly adoring of Dad. Kathleen’s injuries were not internal so where do they get off saying the blood spatter was caused by her coughing?
I can easily see how the death in Germany (under very similar circumstances) & the bisexuality would give anyone pause. I was not convinced Kathleen knew. The death in Germany was also described as a lot of blood. Initially diagnosed as an intracranial bleed. Where did all the blood come from?
I thought he thought he was too smart & too superior by far. Despite all the teary eyes & deep reflection, i thought he was cold & calculating.
I thought he was guilty.
