If you only watch 5 minutes or the first episode and stop because you make assumptions about what you think the lessons of this show are, you're definitely missing out on a wonderfully written and thought-provoking show. I've seen some reviews on here where people are quick to judge, thinking that the show depicts struggle as one-sided based on race and background...but in making these stereotypical assumptions, and not giving it a real chance, they are missing out on some excellent writing and thought-provoking content...the show develops really interesting story lines and explores the perspectives and experiences of many different characters, not just the main one and not just from the perspective of one race. It explores dark and difficult to discuss themes while keeping it lighthearted and comedic. Tracy Morgan is great in this!
