ZGH, is one of the best or maybe the best series of its times. It's romantic, aspirational, realistic. This is the only series that focuses on the after of happily ever after. It talks on how relationship are made. It talks of insecurities, and how those affect ones thinking and behaviour. The beauty of the show also lies in the way it portrays and acknowledges flaws in each individual. There are no perfect characters, yet each are perfect in their own way. The values of the various characters stems from patriarchy. The characters fight it, accept it and evolve from it. It is a true reflection of the society. We can debate on the who is right or wrong. As I said earlier there is some right in all the lead characters and some wrong as well them. One can identify with each. The way it show the innermost thoughts if the characters through a diary is a beauty. It blurrs the line between a book and a movie. A big shout out Umera Ahmed, Sultana Siddiqui and Momina Duraid.
