I have to be totally honest I love blackish, mixedish, and grownish so I was hyped about this show. And now I’m not smh. I am SO OVER the biracial light skinned, curly haired black depiction. I get it, we’ve seen it! It’s been covered over and over and over again. Can we not find any actors with more melanin? Maybe some 4c hair. I mean damn! We would like to be shown too!!!!! I’m sure it’s a very good show but I couldn’t get pass the 3rd episode. Let’s be clear the name made me have a certain expectation and this show with the mixed mom, curly hair super light kids was not what I wanted to see. I love my black people of all shades but I’ve seen this show over and over. Done with it. The parents are just big kids which doesn’t show the representation of a true black mamma or daddy(notice those terms). Because of how they behave the kids have no respect for them and how they speak to them would NEVER happen in a black home. That real black mama would’ve gotten them together!
