Season 1 was really good. Season 2 brings in a group of boys under a similar stranded island situation. Here however it becomes blatantly obvious that all the writers of this show are women. Have they even ever listened to a group of teenage boys talking? The dialogue is terrible and uninteresting, and each character is a boring stereotype. I would give season 1 5 stars, and season 2 1 star.

By reading the reviews, I think others mistake poor dialogue and bad accents for bad acting. I think the acting is fine, but what they were given to work with is not good. Most of the dialogue is actually pretty laughable, and I actually can’t believe how well some of the actors delivered their terrible lines. That being said, every actor’s accent is different and inconsistent. Especially DiCaprio and malkovich probably should have attempted some sort of British accent, or spoken softer to sell their roles in this period piece. Their accents are pretty darn distracting, especially early in the movie. The plot is fine, and it has good moments, but overall the movie drags and the pacing is off. I feel like this movie had potential to be very good, but ends up being only mildly entertaining at some points.

Hands down my favorite show. I watch and rewatch it all the time. It is silly and sometimes pushes my limits as to what is still funny, but it has intelligent humor and likable characters. Newer episodes have been hit or miss this season, but there are always some really laugh out loud episodes. I like this show so much more than Family Guy! The humor isn’t for everyone, but I love rewatching episodes to find funny things I didn’t notice before. Favorite episode hands down is Ricky Spanish! Roger is the best.
