If you want a movie that shoved other coming of age movies into a blender, look no further. It has some amazing scenes of building Ellie Chu character in a small town that seems to be full of Republicans. Other than that, the boys seem stupid and arrogant. Without reading the intro, you couldn't guess if Ellie would be into Paul or Aster. Very confusing scenes where theology and poetry were used to confuse the audience about the plot. Also spoiler alert, protagonist comes out in a confusing way and love interest doesn't feel the same way. Shocker.

The trailer says it all. Bad script. Also I am disappointed there wasn't an Allstate ad in the movie.
