This is just base on what I have observed about the movie. Eli wasn't really sick at all and his mom and step dad made him believed that he was.His mom was just trying to protect him from his devil dad and not to exposed him outside.They thought that it'd be best for Eli to perform those stages, to eliminate the devil in him and to live a normal life.Eli knows how her mom loves him so much,up until he felt like he got lied and betrayed, but of course blood is thicker than water.So,at some point, since he's half normal and devil, he could not eradicate his love for his mom, he was able to control it.Eli discovered that the doctor was once a nun too that gave him an impression what they usually do with those kids who were dead after performing the last stage.Eli didn't know that the young lady from the outside was her sister.To cut the long story short,Eli still trust his mom they even asked her to drive and his sister didn't ask for any help outside since she knew that her brother is powerful as their devil dad.

If you would be a parent, you couldn't think of something what you can't do for your family, especially with your kids.After watching this movie,there were tons of questions running in my mind.I understand that she was tasked or cursed to end someone else's life by a witchcraft in exchange of her daughter's life to become stable after being bitten by a rattlesnake.There were lots of chances and opportunities given to kill,but it wasn't that easy at all and there's always a perfect timing.You got somebody's help,and you didn't expect that it is prerequisite to return the favor.( Just do good things without expecting something in return.)Anyways, I thought it was just Kat,who could see those dead people in the past, up until she asked her daughter if she saw the man in the last part.Why did her daughter see that too?Why would those dead people encouraged her to kill?I know that it's for her daughter.What's in it for them, dead people?Were they became part of the movie to cheer or motivate Kat to kill? or they're also looking for justice why there were killed too?It's hanging, I need a part II.
