I was 13 when Scooby was first created in 1969. If you loved the classic Hanna-Barbera and loved Dick Dastardly, Muttley and Captain Caveman, you will enjoy and appreciate this movie. Took me back 50 years, and I really enjoyed it. In fact, my 38 year old son and I laughed more during it, then my 10 year old grandson. Maybe you have to know the old Hanna-Barbera cartoons to be able to fully appreciate this movie. The mystery is about Scooby and his ancestry. I loved how they used Alexander the Great’s dog, Peritas, in this, as Great Dane’s were bred from Mastiffs. Maybe a bit above the heads of younger children and adults that have no understanding of the history of Greek mythology, but it was surprisingly a very entertaining storyline! 4 popcorn bags. 🍿 🍿 🍿 🍿
