Listen man, this series is wack. Somehow it moves at a breakneck pace yet gets in so many details. At the end of the day, we watch shows like this to root for one side and get hyped when they face off against another side, and Del Toro specializes in making you care. You feel great when the gang wins and terrible when they lose. Most of the villains are stupidly stereotypical all the time, but they're legitimate threats and you can tell that everyone has their work cut out for them. The villains are still competent though, especially a couple I won't be naming. Del Toro made every episode count in the end - even the episodes that I thought were filler ended up being important. Plus, it's just fun to watch. The characters do fall into the classic stereotypes, but they're well-written so instead of being cliche and boring it's funny and I don't mind.
As long as you keep in mind that this is intended for a young audience, I bet 30 bucks you're going to love this.
