Amanda Miller

I can't imagine how this bizarre film made it's way into mainstream cinema. There's clearly been a huge amount of hype and the trailer made it appear promisingly entertaining. I can't speak as a serious film critic (I'm just a cinema goer for a bit of entertainment and relaxation at the weekend) but Olivia Coleman was clearly outstanding in the role of Queen Anne. The rest were very average in my opinion: the plot slow and muddled, especially with the distraction of the headache-inducing 'music' pounding so loudly. What was that soundtrack supposed to represent?? Altogether, I'm extremely disappointed by this film and wish I'd chosen something else.
