I think the mentality here was "Horrific and bloody gore, freak fatalities, and violence is funny!" So if you agree with that sentiment you'll probably like this movie because that is literally all it is.

I've been playing video games since my parents got an Atari 2600 in the early 90's...and this game is by far the best game I've ever played. Whether you're a seasoned pro or a beginning player of video games, buy this game.

Dread is a very rare occasion where a product exceeds expectations.

Entertaining on a surface level if you are impressed with action, excitement, and stimulating visuals. On a more critical level the movie is very flat, stale, and predictable. Very poor dialogue and the whole experience feels like it lacks substance because the characters are just so one-dimensional and bland.
