Hey,
Well there are some of my views in regards to this show:
1. An overall good plot.
2. Absurd Ginny's character (sorry for sounding so Harsh) but it's what a quite chilling viewer sitting in a bed would assume. For eg no one will think of Georgia's character as something holding up a dark side bc of her past, sufferings that she went through with. Whereas the same should have been done for Ginny, if her character was meant to be supported. Viewers could never know how and why did she act the way she did. Maybe there is something coming up in the next season, let's hope for the best.
3. Inconceivable Racist plot. The only person who's showing a slight pinch of Racism was Ginny's English teacher. But then it's still not fulfills the so called pumped up racist vibe that Ginny kept on spreading. As no-one else seems to be having that kind of problem with her.
4. MANG. The idea behind this whole friend circle seems to be lacking in the point that they are supposed to be supportive and holding each others back but it clearly shows the reason of Ginny's pent up anger could simply bursted on her mother and maybe this lack of support was the reason why she actually felt left out as it was clear that in MANG Noone really cared about anyone except for the self. Ginny's and Max's chemistry seems to be understandable. Thus a Very good depiction of the reasoning behind the entire frustrated behaviour of the teens.
5. Austin's problems. The show has amazingly created a super sensitive kid with bullying problems, missing dad problems, always on the move-not able to settle feelings, able to accept the change, kind of mature, thus a totally acceptable character which quite amusingly brings out both the good and the bad part of the kid.
So much more to say but keeping it essential and short.
Overall a good plot, just to enjoy while sitting in the bed, not judging the characters or connecting with it. Making connections will be the place where the viewers will go wrong.
Adios.
