I’m sure there’s a way to mix weapons, no pun intended, children, and horror together, but this was not one good example of that. You cannot differentiate if it’s supposed to be a comedy or a horror film!? The director “I think” was trying to tell multiple stories with “weaponization theory” being the thing that solidified them all together but it just didn’t make sense - it was all over the place! The scenes that was supposed to be scary, were not but the acting was good…..that’s all I can say about this movie. It had a good plot, it just was not executed…… lastly, the actors were just not visually appealing. 😑

This is the Earthquake that we know and love! The one that he did back in 2022 “legendary” was not as good…..I think it was because it was his first Netflix special but this one in 2025 seems to where he goes back to his roots and that’s where he is at at his best!🫶

I like the movie, but it should have been a series! They made beauty and black a series which could have just been a two-part movie with a lot of wasted scenes, but you have a gem like Ruth and Boaz and you only make it as long as a lifetime movie! The reason why Straw was so good was because it was a story that could have been told in under two hours, but Ruth and Boz had too many gaps in the storyline and should have been stretched out to eight parts or even a 10 part series. It left way too many gabs but overall it was a good message. ✅

Yes, I know I’m giving it four stars even though it is a Tyler Perry movie but I am giving you such a high rating because of Taraji P Hanson she said the movie off! The writing and acting was so good that even if it was your typical screenplay, when executed properly, it can be a really good movie, and this is a perfect example of that ✅Way to go out strong STRAW!

Whoopie Goldberg,Jordan Peele, Ryan, Coogler, and Antoine Fuqua and Denzel, Washington and Regina king Ava Duvernay are just a few of the names of directors that are actually worth the grain of salt! It’s amazing to me how you become a billionaire based off of trash like this movie! Audience for years now Hate or strongly dislike everything that Tyler Perry puts out yet he seems to keep getting more and more money and more and more Greenlite projects! To where you have excellent directors and producers, like the ones mentioned above that have to scrape and peel back skin just to get one movie made! This movie series is horrible. I don’t understand what strong cold he has over Netflix for them to keep giving him so many opportunities. Not to mention the real life scandal with Crystal, Stewart and her whole nonprofit drama! There’s a documentary about it I think on Hulu about beauty queens, and she was mentioned about how she did not take care of her peers, and how she would have contestants that she hand-picked to be the winners blah blah blah anyway, the movies not any good, so I’m trying to help you now before you waste Almost 8 hours the way I did 😡 UPDATE: this TV show was so bad that I was going to leave a review because I had forgotten that I’ve already left a review but this second season had to be written by ChatGPT! I cannot believe how horrible this show is horrible! There are so many other great African-American writers, and directors, and yet he keeps getting his projects televised because he is so narcissistic to write, direct, and produce his own screenplays so he gets all the profits; that’s fine for people who have continuously put out good projects, but I tell you if you watch the second season, you will really think it was written by ChatGPT because nobody can write this poorly!😩

Yes, I don’t like Amy Schumer I don’t like the fact that the kids were cussing and she was cussing in front of the kids. I don’t like all the ‘woke’ references but I do think it was still a good little comedy from Adam Sandler productions. Admittedly, I have not really been watching much of his productions, like uncut gems. It seemed to be really popular with everyone else and I hated it so I guess I’m a little different, but I think you’ll agree, Amy Schumer is like Tiffany Haddish not great at being a standup comedian, but they offer more than they’re worth when it comes to good satirical comedy……sometimes ………..but at the end-of-day, this movie was not that!👎🏼 and the reference to red table talk was really poor taste consider that was taken off of Facebook over two years ago🤪

I was able to watch the first episode for free on Amazon and didn’t even finish it. That’s how bad it is! I really don’t understand with all the bad writing how this could be four stars or more! As much as I like Christian Slater, he should not be expected to carry the show! Patrick Dempsey, Michelle Galler, not big fans of their acting, but the writing is what I found to be abhorrent! Even if the storyline is good, the actual writing is horrible! When Patrick Dempsey said, I’m his angry as a menopausal bitch, and he said it the way he did I knew it was going down the drain from there!😳

I really wanted to like this as I really do like the acting cast but this movie is so woke is to WOKE for you to stay awake! Horrible AND way too much dumb lines 😑why can’t you just can’t give us a good story with a good acting cast? Plz, don’t waste your time and less you wanna watch wokism at its “best”
