Despite opening with one of the all time worst lines of a book. 'Miles to go' quickly builds itself into an enjoyable and conceptually easy to grasp read.
I read this as a 31 year old male on holiday after shutting down my first business. I felt like an idiot, I had no self belief and didn't feel like I had the energy to keep going.
Miley Cyrus's charming energy made me feel as if I was being a negative Nancy. Her drive and determination to be the best version of herself was a life changing inspiration to me.
I've not read any teen girl journals before but by reading this I assume it's ok to write chapters that are only 2 pages long. If this is not the case, then this book needs to take a look at itself.
The book definitely peaks when Miley is auditioning for the role of Hannah Montana and also when she settles into this role. It dives when she starts talking about religion and someone she refers to as 'Prince Charming'.
If I could change anything about this book I would have multiple chapters on her writing and performing the song 'See you again'. This song is a banger.
All up, this book is a great read about a great person. Say what you will about her but in my opinion, she's just being Miley.
PS. Prince Charming is Nick Jonas
