As a south east Asian born in a western country this movie sucked. I didn’t feel connected to it at all within my cultural background that I identify with or felt any type of similarity to the other “clans” it failed to represent any type of deep representation of Asian culture. It just seems like a big mess of jumbled up Asian cultures just mashed into one. Although it’s a very fun movie, as a Vietnamese descent it came off as a very big generalisation and is beyond disappointing of what Disney tried to portray compared to the other predecessors. All the characters were bland and barely developed very uninteresting to learn the characters. However it is a fun movie for kids since it is a Disney movie. But ppl may disagree with my comment but to those saying I’m being unfair all I’m gonna say is look at my name it’s evidence enough that i know what Im talking about. But if any other person who is not within my ethnic background or any south east Asian background that likes to disprove of my prejudice and try to teach me my own culuture by all means. But to one SEA to another it’s a good movie but don’t expect a lot of deep cultural representations. TLDR: Beyond disappointing (culturally wise)
