I was very excited to see a proper Filipino anime but I was very disappointed with the voice actresses. I started watching it in Tagalog but was so distracted by the way the voice actress sound that I had to switch it to English. The Tagalog voice actress sounds very weird and the way she pronounces some of the words are off i.e. kaluluwa to mention one. It shows that Tagalog clearly was not her first language but why was she chosen to be the voice actress in this anime? There are hundreds of Filipino actresses that actually sound Filipino. Why pick her? I was so distracted I had to watch it in English but, the voice actress in English was even worse in Tagalog. It was like listening to a foreigner trying to speak Tagalog and failing miserably.
I thought this was meant to showcase Filipino tradition. How could you? If people you hire cannot even speak the language properly. I hope the producers of this show take this on board. If you do not want to change your voice actress get them to properly learn the language. I like this series overall. It was a good anime. I would have rated it a 5/5 if only the voice actresses can speak proper TAGALOG.
