Excellent movie! I had no idea the depth of love and pain that Aretha Franklin carried in her beautiful "gospel soul" and phenomenal voice! Resilience and resonance! I loved "Respect!" I left the movie theatre with a heavy and happy heart... Every aspect of the film's presentation and the entire cast was great! I found that I fell into the essence and presence of each character! The children and the adults were exceptional in their roles! Skye Dakota Turner... impressively talented young actress! Awesome movie! Jennifer Hudson was brilliant in her emotional, acting and vocal range!!! Mama Franklin played by actress Kimberly Scott was the family rock!!! So many renowned actors!!! Very very strong cast!!! Bravo!!! Standing Ovation!!! I am sure there will be many Honourable Awards for "Respect!!" A must-see! God Bless Aretha Franklin for all eternity!!!

I am not a Halloween, Horror Movie person at all!!! I avoid them at all cost. I do like Tyler Perry productions, Madea and all of Tyler's different characters. Which is why I decided to check out Boo 2. I actually thought this film was very good because it was quite scary... "to me!" For die hard horror movie fans, it may not have been "violent, psychotic and gory enough?" I really liked that Tyler Perry was able to incorporate his "family values" into a humorous and quite scary halloween movie with plot twists and "an ending"... that I found completely unexpected and quite brilliant! He was able to highlight the parent and pre-adult teen relationship; with friends, driving, parties, teen exploration, divorced parents and the importance of family and unity, all based on "healthy boundaries." Except of course "Uncle Joe" being his typically crude self. Leaving the viewer with valuable lessons for teenagers and their parents.
