Sadly one of the worst book to screen adaptations I’ve ever experienced. For a book series that in my opinion, has one of the best character developments, this movie destroys that. The movie adaptation has no similarities to the fantasy world created by paolini except magic and a dragon. The creatures basically did not exist. The plot wasn’t even clear and did not reflect the plot of the book very well at all. The controllers that created this film never even should have named it Eragon because it did not reflect the book or even the character paolini created. My hope is that someone who watched this will get curious enough to read the actual “inheritance cycle” and create a better movie or series of movies in the future! Edit: just as a point, I don’t fault the acting abilities of the cast at all or even the budget of the film. The destruction of a great story is what my problem with the film is!
