Brilliant gameplay, graphics, and environmental design. But the GOD AWFUL storyline just completely throws the entire game in the trash. Horrid pacing, terrible mini plots that just feel like unnecessary filler and Naughty Dog's decision to try and subvert expectations and have the audience comes to emphasize and connect with such a terribly written character in the 2nd half the game was just done so terribly and did not work AT ALL. They butchered the characters from the first game, completely changed Ellie's personality, led her down a pointless quest and absolutely spit on and disgraced the masterpiece that was the first game's ending. Its just a shame so many gifted developers made such a wonderful gameplay experience to be wasted on the worst story I've ever seen told in gaming history.
