Folks.. do not listen to a majority of the reviewers here; they either barely watched the movie, or haven't and they use the lame "It's a ripoff of Carrie," excuse everyone has used since 1999. If you sit down and take time to watch this then you'll at least respect it more; or maybe even love it. I'm the latter.. I really enjoy this movie and I watch it every now and then. Really more so than I was expecting it woulda believed back in October when I first watched it. The fact they ignored the Carrie formula besides really the ending and the family connection was a solid risk but it paid off quite well. You get a very surprisingly well done human story with a nice romance in it.. Bergel's great as Rachel and Jason London's beyond solid in this movie. He took what coulda been a really bland character with someone else and injected life to it. He's slowly becoming one of my favorite actors. The rest of the cast I admit's hit or miss.. Irving didn't add anything to the movie honestly she didn't need to be in it. The villains work solidly well; maybe too well at points. Their fates are very well deserved. The climax is very well done in terms of effects and gore. The score's really solid and the 90's soundtrack isn't my favorite but I love the rock song in the credits. The end's actually surprisingly sad.. minus the bad CGI in it. Give it a watch; most prob will not like it but at least be open minded to it and maybe you will enjoy it surprisingly more. This movie deserves more praise than what it gets.

IMO the best non Halloween slasher.. Friday the 13th ripped off Halloween first but all it was doing was full of cliches and got old after 4 sequels, this one was more creative then all of it's sequels combined and had the courage to be different in an era where it wasn't the norm. Such a shame it's sequels joined the cliche movement, this one coulda started a trend which coulda made slashers less stale.

A surprisingly tense and refreshing old school action thriller. Trailer was kind of a bore and I wasn't a fan of Momoa going in but I am a fan of him now after this one. This is an eclectic mix of Die Hard, Home Alone, and Last of the Mohicans but it's refreshing enough that it doesn't steal too much. Moma's very down to earth here and is quite a rootable hero. The villains are awful in a good way and the lead villain is one of the most evil I've seen in ages. It's tense as hell middle on and doesn't let up. The climax on is some of the tensest action i've seen in a long time. It reminds me so much of the climax of Last of the Mohicans in that way. This movie has a solid sized heart to it which you would never expect and helps push it over the top.

The first GTA game since Vice City that was solid all around. San Andreas was pretty good but it's not aged well in the years since, Vice City hasn't either to a point, but VC's story and characters were top notch. SA had some really annoying characters and the art was kinda silly but this one was a nice step up from both it and GTA 4. GTA 4 was a little too dark for me. This one simplified San Andreas and made it easier and better to travel around. In the original game it's a little too big and takes forever to fully get around due to limits. This one wisely skipped all that. Gameplay's far better and the characters are all fun and enjoyable.

IMO QT's best movie.. it isn't overly gory, smug, or overdrawn like his last few films. This time he gets down to basics and enjoys himself telling a human story around a real life event and has a damn good time with it. The cast are all well picked and while not everyone has enough time they all manage to perform well and contribute something it's a true ensemble piece. The ending itself is an all time great in terms of crazyness. Wasn't expecting that in the least. I had a lot of fun with it and will be seeing it again for sure.

This is one of my favorite horror films. It's 100% un-apologetic: it's wicked as hell with a dark sense of humor, lacks morals, and is quite zany yet it never takes itself too over serious and that helps in quite a few ways make it from being a lame retread. If you love an edgy mainstream horror film that isn't 100% serious this is a perfect pick. Acting wise you get Edward Furlong at the height of his teen angst period and he's not too bad, you get Anthony Edwards who's quite lifeless as his dad he acts like he's ashamed to be there and doesn't really try besides a couple of scenes, you get Jared Rushton near the end of his peak years playing one of the weirdest bullys I've ever seen in a movie they make him such a creep which is a major 180 from his earlier roles, but thankfully you get Clancy Brown who busted his butt to make the movie fun and he really ups things quite a bit. Without him I see the movie being just unwatchable. This one gets hated on too much imo. In terms of dumb and fun horror this up near the top.

Despite the extremely low budget Judgement turned out to be quite a effective and fun DTV thriller. Despite being pretty much a movie by Dimension to keep the series rights it ended up being a solid movie against all odds and the best sequel since Part 5 and really the first real Hellraiser feeling film since the 4th one. It doesn't feel like a movie with Pinhead thrown in; it feels like part of the proper universe. Tunniclife did a great job directing it and was fantastic as the auditor, best new character in the series in quite a while. If this one had a bigger budget I think it coulda been better but as it is I enjoyed it.

One of Connery's best Bonds and one of the better escapist Bond films. Also features Donald Plesance as Blofeld, genius casting. Just wish 15-20 min had been cut it kinda lingers before the climax.

The movie's a mess but a beautiful mess. If John had been patient and willing and got a screenwriter/director with actual experience and knew what they were doing this coulda been really good. For what it is the first half is much better than the 2nd. The movie falls off track on Gotti got power, after that it seemed liked they were rushing stuff to his death. His son also wasn't that compelling. First half meanwhile focuses on Gotti himself and is superior as a result. Travolta's solid here as was Keech however the rest seem to be doing cliched jersey voices and it makes them look bad. Preston and Rossi are a riot to watch in a bad way. On the bright side this has one of the best song soundtracks I've seen in a while. I've had West End Girls in my head for a week straight.. no regrets.
