I have binged watched most of the episodes up to 9. I have 1 left which I've delayed by a day to save it. This series is very eye opening and sad. It really pulls you into Alex's predicament of being a single mum and having to work and look for housing. It highlights issues of single mums, domestic violence, discrimination, lifestyle class differences, homelessness and family structures. The one thing that made me feel really sad was the fact Alex didn't have a stable figure in her corner. The ones she did have were unreliable or inflicted with either addiction or mental illness. People's graces only took her so far but ultimately, her struggle felt very lonesome and sad. The few times she did slip up or make a mistake seemed to cost her, her job or her apartment. The characters were really made well and you really learned about each personality and story. I really enjoyed this series so far and loved how invested I became in Alex winning this constrained situation she's in. I somehow know it's has a bleak ending, but wish there is a Season 2 to show her coming back on top. If not, I wish Maddie grows out of the poverty curse and gets to experience a stable home life with enough necessities like food and good education. A solid 9/10 so far!!

A solid watch, 10/10. It showcases a very realistic situation where Mulan has to step up for her family. A woman lead character who uses her brains to outskill the men around her. Full of funny moments as she's trying to blend in as a man. Mushu's commentary and the randomness of the cricket balances the harshness of the Huns. I found myself chuckling outloud a few times. Lots of lessons to be learnt from here. And it's rather fitting in the 21st century. Where a woman is dressing in a man's clothes and she's feeling unsure about who she is. It has a large resemblence to LGBTQ community. I loved Shang's shy approach to Mulan after he realises his feelings. It makes it endearing that she again takes the lead between them. I liked watching Shang's struggle of being a captain inundated with a difficult task, being controlled and disrespected by the emperor's right hand man. Ultimately still pushing through and believing in his men and his methods. The friends aspect of it is nice too, that they accept her sooner than the others despite lying about being a woman. It was very inspiring seeing Mulan, stand up to the main Hun soldier and use her quick wits to remedy the situation. The realisation of the community to relabel her dishonour, as a very brave act is nice to see. Mulan breaking norms by hugging the emperor is also a cool thing to watch. I've seen this movie thirty times and it never fails to inspire me each time. Hats off to the creators, writers and animators.

I thought this season was certainly longer than the others. *some spoiler alerts* Im not sure if I watched it quite continuously over having a new hobby, or because it related to some part of my life. It didn't capture me with shock scenes as the other seasons did. However, it felt like it really drew on me into the bad realities of all these choices. There was much character development with Annie, where it was refreshing to see her learn self awareness of her flaws. I had a lot of pity for Ruby and Stan, who were once a wholesome couple but now, beaten down and cynical after being in the criminal world. The ending part was very rushed and didn't quite offer a satisfactory ending. It did offer a harsh lesson of following this lifestyle. It felt really odd that Annie was happy to accept the fall for something she didn't too. The introduction of a main villian in this last session or the boss felt really random. So there wasn't much feeling when he was put behind bars. Beth's role as the main criminal leader was highlighted alot and her selfish ways of really only looking after herself.

It made me think so deeply and I got so engrossed in the storyline. (Potential spoiler alert) My first attempt of watching it was poor because my focus was not there but the 2nd day where I picked up where I had finished. And omggg, it conveys so well the struggles of communication between police departments, the taunting from the serial killer, the losing of one self in obbession to find the truth. The casting was very rich in famous characters and none overshadowed, they all complimented each other really well. At the end, you truly felt the struggle of the police who had the man, but not enough info to get him behind bars. I couldn't believe at the end that it was in fact a true story! If they had mentioned that at the start more, I would have been way more engrossed. I give this movie 5 stars ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐, would watch again!!

Easy watch, quite dramatic and conventional writing and storyline. However lots of key messages are taken away from the obvious Disney like storylines, such as: Love conquers all. There is good and bad in all of us. Loved the fighting scenes, which were filmed with excellent cheography. Thought the slow motion aspect was really cool. The chemistry between Gal and Chris was great!! I loved Gal's believable 'out of touch' character. Altogether a rounded film.

Brilliant acting, brilliant storyline Very gripping Combines aspects of mental health, performance and difficult backgrounds. Tonya is an amazing ambitious woman who deserved a much better support system around her. My applause to Margot Robbie, and the actors and actresses who played her husband and Mum. I could easily watch this multiple times. I'm glad to learn of her history and amazing talent. Happy to hear she has settled down with a family of her own now!
