First of all, as an absolute zombie flick nerd, I’m only going to say this: do not listen to the negative reviews of this movie. While it’s not your typical scary as hell horror movie and is definitely more of a horror-comedy (Shaun of the Dead) movie, it is, along with Train To Busan (2016), one of the best zombie movies to date. From the lovable characters and the actors who portrayed them, to the realistically scary zombies, and touchingly hilarious dialogue, this movie hits in all the right places. It’s a must watch if you’re into zombie movies. If you’re just watching this on a whim and over-interpreting it, you just won’t get it. Leave your expectations at the door and enjoy it for what it is: a funny and light-hearted zombie movie with just the right amount of gore and storyline to keep you entertained from the beginning until the end.
