Had no sympathy or found anything compelling about Lucious as a character. Why am I supposed to route for Rome?

Good fun. Relatable, sort of. I will admit my least favorite part is the whole idea of women relying on self-help advice. While very true of the era, it does date the movie and has horrible advice for women on dating and relationships. As a young teen, it had a somewhat damaging effect. Especially around the idea that we are supposed to believe that she is in any way "fat." While her debate about her weight is incredibly relatable, and the idea that men can find it attractive, the whole attitude that Renee is "fat" or plus-sized in any way is laughable.
