I want to respectfully disagree with Joe Scarborough when he says that the people cheering the violence Trump encourages are not representative of who we are. They are the descendants of those people who jeered when little children were escorted into Southern schools when the natiion began to desegregate southern schools, the ancestors of Bull Connor and his officers who attacked peaceful protesters when they attempted to cross the Edmund Pettus Bridge, they are family members of those who held picnics beneath Black bodies swinging from trees. This is who we are!
There are those who would argue that those events were long ago and do not reflect current mores. The current behavior of those attending Trump rallies makes me wonder if you can continue to use that argument.
