It was a delight to watch this adult movie based loosely on the Archie Comics characters. The focus and main star was Archie Anders. He and other teens and youth have misadventures throughout New York series. Sex scenes were more 'soft or light porn', but for all that is worth, were pretty good. Humor was wide ranged, but mostly revolved around adult matters, such as explicit sex. As a basic self proclaimed critic from the 1980's up to the present, I can say that this had sophistication and cheezy, and everything in between. Surreal and then again, all too real. It's a gem and surprisingly didn't take more notoriety than it did. A sleeper kind of a movie. Overall, Hot Times (1974) was worth the viewing as I had on pay TV in 1983. Would love to see it again!

This show was very reminiscent of Married With Children in certain ways, but I know that half the production staff from the mentioned did wonders with this WB Classic. I loved all the characters and was sad when it went into 'rerun heaven' and then, no more. I would rate this comedy sitcom as one of the best ever on TV. Hope that new shows at least come close to this one.
