Not a bad movie but not a great one either. Nothing new or unique about it. It's a mash up of Inception & Strange Days. Accept Inception was pure Scifi Action and Strange Days was pure Thriller Action; both felt complete by the end unlike this movie. This movie was more detective crime drama than action thriller. It had some action but didn't have alot. It was just too much like those other movies but not as good making it hard to keep your attention, especially with the line "You're going on a journey, a journey through memory. Your destination, a place and time you've been before. To reach it all you have to do is follow my voice". Which sounds very similar to "you're waiting for a train, a train that will take you far away. You know where you hope the train will take you, but you can't know for sure. Yet it doesn't matter." It even had the same feel of that moment when Mal said it to Cobb in the hotel and Cobb to Mal on the train tracks. Not what you want in a new movie as a director, I would imagine. The acting with Huge Jackman, Thandie Newton, & Rebecca Ferguson was good but I felt like something was missing overall. Definitely judge for yourself.
