I was fortunate enough to see this show on Broadway twice. It was incredible! I went into the movie version with somewhat low expectations, mainly because of James Corden (he's one note) and Kerry Washington (love her, but not for this), and it pretty much ended up being what I thought it would be, average. I didn't love it, but I didn't hate it either. The message of inclusion still came across. That's the important thing. The camera work was all over the place. This show has incredible choreography which you really don't get to see because of all the cut aways. Especially in the final number. It also would have been nice to have at least seen Caitlin Kinnunen (Emma) and Isabelle McCalla (Alyssa) somewhere in the film. They deserved to be part of this.
