Funny (the audience laughed a lot so not sure what the critics are on about) and warm hearted. Yes it is formulaic but so are Bridget Jones and Love Actually. LGB and Trans friendly, loads of George Michael, subtle political messages and Christmas decorations galore ... Plus the wonderful Emma Thompson.
