This game is so different from the Norm, it is harder than any other halo title as you only have a health meter, no shield, and I do not remember if it recharges, but I have to say no, cause you do have to pick up health packs.
The Atmosphere and Soundtrack to this game are the best, followed by reach and Halo 3. the feeling of being alone is strong and feels very real. The only thing I hate about ODST is Buck, he is a Joke of a Leader, he is too hot headed and rash to be in a Gunny Position, my opinion. but it does happen. I do hope they make a Halo ODST 2 and continue the rookies story as there is enough content to in the rookies story line to trace all the way from halo 3 ODST, which takes place DURING Halo 2, during the Mission metropolis.. not During Halo 3 at all, but there is enough rookie story to make 2 games between Halo 2 to Halo 5
Before the ODST program is tanked and they become Spartans.
Also I wish the Battle Rifle was in the game, that is the only other thing I was unhappy with... the SSMG is so cool though, the SMG is my favorite weapon in halo 2 and halo 3, so it was nice to see this new version of my beloved SMG weapon.
This game gets a 9.8/10 from me, would've been 10/10 if they cast Buck a little less hot headed and emotional, that is not what you want as a leader on the battlefield, though, acting wise, nathan did a killer job, and hearing his voice is nice, he is a good VA as well as Actor in general.
Loved the Atmosphere, Loved the Mini-Open World area you unlock at the end of the game, levels were great, loved the city based fighting, the story isnt too fast or slow, the Music fits every turn and battle, firefight is amazing, so glad it returned in Halo Reach, but sad it wasnt in Halo 4.
Noted in my mind as 343i's First Blunder.
I recommend giving this a try, with an open mind, as this game has nothing to really do with Master Chief, but it good enough, it is like playing through one of the Halo novels, which is EPIC.
