I'm white and I AM PISSED that I never heard of this speech until today, and I'm 71 and a former U.S. History teacher!!!!! Wait, hum...oh yes, our country was (and still is) run by white (male) people. "History is written by 'the winners' (those in power, with the "Benjamin's"). This fact, along with the continuing and recent deaths of blacks at the hands (sometimes literally) of some racist, overly aggressive, poorly trained, and often overworked police officers are just a couple of reasons why Black Lives Matter! I hope all of us who are white can "get this"!
