I grew up with Toy Story. I had Buzz and Woody toys as a kid and still one of my favorite movie franchises til this day. In my opinion, this film was very conflicting. I thought it was very good except two things. I know some people find Woody out of character. I disagree. Woody at heart, was Andy's toy. He was still holding on to Andy, even if Andy let him go. Remember, in Toy Story 2, he was going to leave Andy and go to Japan. But then realized Andy did need him. Bonnie, not so much. She put Woody off to the side and he's seen it before like with Buzz, but he wasn't number one with Bonnie. Woody leaving at the end made perfect since. Buzz I did have a problem with. They had this joke where Buzz didn't know what his inner voice was, so he would press his buttons and it would say a phrase and he would do as it said. It was humorous, and done once or twice wouldn't bother me. However, Buzz the whole movie couldn't think by himself, and relied on his voice box. It's like the reset in Toy Story 3 also reset his thinking compacity. Gone was the smart leader from Toy Story 2, and leader of the Galactic Alliance. I don't know why they played him as an idiot. And they didn't show much of the original cast, which is kind of disappointing. But overall, I enjoyed the movie and I loved the ending. But what they did with Buzz brought me down a bit.
