Alright, here is why Black Widow failed. - The timing of the release was terrible. If it was before infinity war, or at least b4 endgame it would have been better. But they decide to release it after Endgame, which was basically an end of an era. - Characters. If you watched the movie you would know that most of the characters sucked. The villian is portrayed as a man who is to afraid to fight his own battles. Taskmaster, one of the most anticipated characters that ppl where dying to see in action was a complete flop considering he was only there for 15 minutes of the movie. Red Guardian, a character created to make Black Widow and her sister better by comparison, yet that could not be achieved due to the overwhelming inconsistency of this character. Like they say he is a super soldier like steve rogers, yet he doesn't show any traits to indicate this. They try to make him look like a strong character in one scene, but then backtrack immediately in the next just to fit their agenda. - Woke. There is nothing wrong with a movie having a female lead. No one is really against that, female empowerment, we're okay with that. But rather they focus more on creating male characters that look stupid and weak just to promote their beliefs. They made sure to gender swap taskmaster who was a male in the comics, just so they ensure that not one of the white males where physically comparable to any of the females. They try so hard to manipulate the audience to seeing female power by making all the male characters weak in comparison. - Plot. Oh wait, there is no plot. The movie focuses so hard on female empowerment and woke garbage that it simply scraps up all its major fight scenes from Captain America: The Winter Soldier. Black Widow was a movie with a weak storyline, and the producers and directors just added in flashy action scenes to hide the fact that their movie was baseless. - Yelena&Natasha. The reason ppl didn't like Black Widow at first was because she didn't really have enough character development. That was why people were hoping for her to get her own movie. And Marvel gave a movie, but it wasn't her own movie. They were so focused on establishing her sister to take over the mantle, that they forgot what the audience actually wanted from the movie. And Yelena ended up being a flopped character as well, the movie strived hard to make her look powerful and comedic, but they still made the same mistake that they did with Black Widows character. So yeah, I would advise you not watch this movie, the only reason i gave this 2 stars is because i already reviewed Captain Marvel and gave that 1 star, and no movie is in the same trash league as captain marvel.

Basically this movie is made for the salty feminists that were mad that the joker didn't flop and actually did extremely well.
