I went to watch this movie with 0 prior knowledge of the DUNE universe, and I spent 2 hours trying to figure out what is going on. The movie tosses out a lot of exposition where if I were a DUNE fan with plenty of prior knowledge I would probably understand, however, since I don't, it was a lot of blank moments for me. I understand how this is a part 1 movie where it is supposed to introduce the universe and characters to me, but I left the cinema understanding the DUNE universe as much as when I stepped into the cinema. The movie doesn't follow the conventional movie pace where the pace speeds up towards the climax of the movie. Instead, it continuously builds up and does not have a proper climax. Definitely will not watch it again, and it left me completely uninterested in a potential sequel.
