I watched this movie when it came out 16 years ago. I absolutely could not see what all the love was about. This movie was pointless. BUT. The other day I was reading some reader reviews and was amazed how many people really love this movie. So I came across it tonight and watched it again for the first time after 16 years. And guess what? I think it sucked just as bad the second time as it did the first. You wanna watch a really good dysfunctional family movie? Watch "Parenthood" with Steve Martin, Jason Robards, Keanu Reeves, Rick Moranis and many other great actors. The story is far better than this piece of tripe. Yes, Alan Arkin was great. But he's great in everything he does.

I have one last episode to watch. I did not think this was a very good series at all. Episodes 4-7 were particularly bad. "Parallel" was pointless except for a vehicle to insert the ever present gay factor into one of today's shows. One of my "favorite" (not so favorite actually) moments was in "Stasis". Here's May, about to graduate high school, and she's asking her mom for THE FIRST TIME how old she was when she got married. That's a question a kid asks a dozen times by that point of their life. I give this show a generous 5.5 out of 10. P.S. I can invent tractors that hover and spheres that switch bodies and widgets that freeze time but I just can't come up with a push button phone, flat screen monitors or cell phones no matter how much inspiration I get. EDIT: Just watched last episode which wasn't too bad except for that MacGuffin in the woods. There was no mention of any such thing during the previous seven episodes that I can recall.

Not a bad movie but very predictable. Borrowed heavily from "Frequency".

Poor Mark Sargent. So obviously pining after Patricia and sharing a backwards belief concerning the earth with her just isn't enough to seal the deal.

Didn't like it. Too predictable in every way. And of course they had to have the BM/WW dynamic. Can't make a show without that anymore.
