The back and forth made me crazy! It took awhile to figure out how cruel the homecoming was for these soldiers and that the pills they were given made them motivated to go back to the war. Heidi was the most malevolent. She gave her supposed friend an overdose of the medicine which made him very ill (no scenes to show how awful that was). In the last scenes with Walter in the town where he always wanted to go, he saw Heidi in a coffee shop and stopped to talk with her. He had no memory of her, thank goodness. Please tell the producers not to do anymore horror stories like this!
