Literally Anita is the only good character and even she isn’t without faults. There is a trans character that serves no purpose except for representation I guess? But they don’t really go anywhere with it. There whole movie is biased against the Jets, yet it’s one of the Sharks that gets arrested in the end. This movie is garbage. The singing was pretty and the choreography was (not memorably) decent. But everything else was meh. Don’t waste your time with this. The only awards it should get are for acting and only for Ariana DeBose as Anita. Periodt.
