Great movie, fantasic special effects, simple but great plot, good acting. Real sense of being in space, very tense.

This is a movie for kids; there are all the usual cliches.....including mean kids at school, the short fat fast-talking obnoxious fat kid, the fast-talking early teen girl rebel, the pretty teenage sister who likes the cute guy, and they are both very shy, the nerdy father, the gorgeous mother who is a reformed thief/superspy, the weapons stash opened by the secret switch (actually a dna testing device that the fat kids sticks a booger on (yuk), the comical useless under cover police guy.....it just goes on and on and on. The only mystery about all of it is why did I keep watching it.... I think we get to a point where our brains turn to mush and we zone out. It's time to wake up.
