I didn’t want to like this book and formulated all the reasons why the author was wrong but midway through I was hooked and by the end, he had me. A bleak, yet biting critique on the world we’ve made, Civilized to Death left me a “a sadder but a wiser man”, to quote Coleridge. Must reading for anyone wanting to see behind the curtain.
