HUGE LETDOWN. and I LOVE NICHOLAS SPARKS BOOKS.
I loved the relationship between Russ and London, his daughter, but this book was downright depressing. I kept reading just to see how the story ends, hoping it'll get better, anxious to see what hot scene he's going to write about (like he does in all his other books) - but theres none of that, the ending is even more depressing than the rest of the book with a curveball plot twist that just makes you want to drink as much wine as one of the characters. It's like reading a book about a trainwreck, and then a pandemic hits everyone at the end. The afterward is a 2 page "oh and then this happy stuff happens too" but its not enough to pull you out of the depressing hole you got in by opening the book in the first place. Pass.
