Lilian Chavez

It's a white savior movie. All of the acting is great, great music, great cinematography. The plot? Just another fancier Avatar. The fact that they portray Leto as sympathetic when he's literally going to the planet to continue colonizing them is ridiculous. I don't care if he was a good dad. He's extracting resources. Also the director said it's a "critique" of the white savior narrative, and that is bs. Paul is their messiah and he never has to come to grips with the fact that he's benefitted from the colonization of their planet. Even if he ended up dying or something, it's still making him and the whole house as sympathetic.
