One of the best movies ever made about Latin America and politics in general! Maybe I'm prejudiced because my father-in-law was a Latin American General who used to put down attempts to start a civil war, but everything in the movie rang so true. And, many years after the film was made, it happened in Nicaragua! A firmly-established dictator who had tolerated a loud but harmless opposition was overthrown after the opposition leader was assassinated, and the new regime was even worse in the opinion of many, including the US government.
