So I don’t usually write reviews for movies but here goes. During the last few years I’ve been uninterested and bored with the movies that have come out as they’ve been repetitive and unoriginal. This movie was the total opposite. Although I never read the books or even knew what this was about, I was incredibly impressed with the level of detail this movie portrayed. I don’t think I’ve ever seen such attention and care applied to a movie and it’s storyline before (except for Star Wars and Lord of the Rings). The pacing of the story and characters was absolutely wonderful. The way it gives you a chance to meet and understand the characters and enjoy the wonder and fantasy of the world was one of the things I loved about this. I can just tell this movie series is going to be a groundbreaking game-changer and I already can’t wait for the next movies to come out. I was on the edge of my seat the whole movie. I truly appreciated how this wasn’t your average action movie with constant battles, destruction, gore, and explosions. The acting in this movie was top tier, no cringe moments where I thought the actors were trying to hard. It felt completely natural and helped immerse me into the world of dune. Anyways I can keep going as I have so much more to say but I won’t I’ll keep this relatively short. This movie is fantastic and I know it will be a great series if they continue the way they’re going. This first is already a favorite so ya, I’m excited.
