Somehow I was expecting a rags to riches story of grit, wit and entrepreneurialism of which India is filled and there must be great stories. However this is much more a story of treachery, murder and theft where the brutish means justify the ends. One crime begets another until the protagonist manages to escape with the loot and establish himself with a new life and a new self satisfying credo. Where in this story is there a single admirable character except maybe the grandmother who holds her family and together with crafty investments and sterling morals. If you like a good romp about criminals made good, who leave destruction and deceit in their wake, this might be for you, but if entrepreneurial heroism is what you thought this movie might be about, look elsewhere. For sure it has nothing much to do with modern India.
