I have to say this is the best game I've played to date!! It's Like Minecraft but you are in an infinite universe where you explore, mine and build. Where Starmade smashes Minecraft is in what you can build and the complexities of your builds. You can build a base on a planet, or station in space, but you'll spend most of your time building the spaceship you'll fly around engaging other players and space pirates. You can really get a sense of what building a real spaceship would entail when you are making room for all the cordoors, quarters, messhall, strategy room, sickbay, loading dock, engineering, command bridge. etc... on top of just rooms, you need space for power, shields, weapons, cargo. all of this adding to the weight, which in turn requires you to build more power, thrusters... You get the Idea... Anyway you look at it, A better voxel building game has never been made, and I cannot imagine one being made anytime soon. oh, I also want to mention that you can build moving parts, such as doors that work, elevators with logic systems to control them... Your imagination is truly the limit in this game.
