Nice plot, twists and catchy storytelling. First 5 episodes are brilliant. After that they made light deliberately stupid and unnecessarily increased the complexity of the story. First 5 episodes fees like they story is moving itself with every action having consequences and brilliant dialogues. After that it feels that none of the plots are realistic and rational enough and writers are dragging the story to meet a predetermined conclusion. It was all fine until L met light. Light trying to kill in the tv news is where all gone wrong. That act was very unlikely for light keeping in mind how they portrayed him in the first place. Overall an average series. After L dies its became worse. No investigation, no evidence just assumtions out of thin air. Everyone knows everyone's moves. Light could have used misa shinigami eyes to kill each and everyone if only he had taken a picture of L which is probably the easiest way.

Very thoughtful content. Even years after watching the movie you still find questions about the plots. This movie makes you think.
