Just found this gem, and watched SE01e01.
I wondered why they didn't trim the sweet 'tiels's beak, though? They didn't address the overgrowth (and/or) physical or dietary maintenance? Maybe too much stress for one appointment for an elderly bird? Some light foraging/chewing activity and a diet with some freah produce and pellets would go a long way...but clipping that big beak tip off would give it a great start.
Cockatiel chewing can be supplemented with coffee filters, plain paper plates, and thin pieces of bird safe woods, used as beads on perches, etc.
There are so many ways to incorporate beak working toys and foraging activities into daily bird life, and it really helps to keep the beak at a proper length and shape! Plus, making toys for your feathered friend is fun!! #environmentalenrichment #simulatedforaging #beakmaintenance
