Went with high hopes but extremely disappointed. Not your classy malayalam movie which appeals to your intelligence or emotional self but a very gory masala film with caricaturish over the top buffoons as villains. A telugu or Tamil movie feel. Kunjacko Boban gave a stellar performance but none of the others were impressive. Not sure what is the recent fascination for Malayalam audience and industry with violence and child abuse. Please don't take your children to such movies.

Rekha Chitram is a great movie. This is not your typical investigative thriller where the antagonist and the scheme will be revealed in the end. Rather it is a poignant drama about a missing person and the people responsible for destroying her aspirations. Movie focuses on bringing closure to a long open tragedy(like Nanpakal nerathu mayakkam) and does it extremely well. The pain of waiting is far excruciating than death itself. What makes the movie a unique and compelling watching is the intertwining of an actual movie shoot with the fictional drama giving behind the scenes workings of a vintage movie shoot. The movie is elevated by excellent performance by Asif as usual and Anaswara Rajan - ably supported by Zarin and others. Hats off to Jofin T Chacko for presenting a great movie.

Perfect template of how to ruin a good movie and some paid reviews on top of that. Prashant should have played the role of Karthik instead. Would have suited him better. First time in Indian cinema a hero is capable to playing piano to a gana song. Setting and casting gone horribly wrong.

If at all this movie is going to be remade in Telugu they don't have to make any change in the script. Proper Telugu style movie with no logic and focus on masala and needless emotional content. Great performance by tovino as maniyan which is the only saving grace of the movie. Otherwise it is one big bore.

Whole lot of incongruent crap. Krishna Kamsa story in a new avatar which will be a meme troll fest in another 3-5 years

Total nonsense. Horrible movie.

Course in intolerable overacting by Hansika Motwani. Too much melodrama in a serial killer movie is just pathetic movie making sense. There is no conviction or logic in the script. Some unrelated random scenes concocted to give a mindless movie.

Cannot be compared with the original but has its own heart. Damn, google reviews or IMDB is no longer the place to looks for reviews. Sanghis have taken over digital medial. Scary!
